DescriptionThe whole story▼
The right-hand flank of a superbike lives next to the exhaust. Whatever the silencer, the collector and the header run underneath push heat straight up into the inside face of this panel, lap after lap, and that is the condition a racing moulding has to survive. CK26232 is the exhaust-side panel of Carbonin's Gen 7 bodywork for the 2026 ZX-10R, laid up with a prepreg inner skin precisely because that is the face doing the thermal work.
Key Features
- Right-hand flank for the 2026 Gen 7 body, mating to the CK26210 cowl and CK26221 pan
- Prepreg inner laminate on the face that sits closest to the exhaust run
- Autoclave cure removes voids, the weak point when a laminate is heat-cycled repeatedly
- Seat moulded for the 3DK26239 right wing
- Quarter-turn fastening and a quick-release bracket instead of trim clips
Heat Is the Design Case
Void content is what decides how a composite ages next to a hot pipe. Air trapped between plies expands when the panel warms, works at the resin, and eventually shows as a blister or a soft patch on the inner face. Curing under autoclave pressure collapses those voids before the resin sets, which is why Carbonin put the process at the centre of how they build. It costs more per panel than a wet lay-up and it is the reason the flank still measures true after a season of racing rather than after a single test day.
Fitting Order
The flanks go on after the cowl and before the wings. Hang the panel on its quick-release bracket first, close the quarter-turn fasteners along the top edge, and only then fit the wing — trying to fit the wing to a panel already loaded on the bike leaves the mounting under tension. Each of these parts is sold individually so a single crash-damaged element can be replaced.
Fitment
Made for the 2026 Kawasaki ZX-10 R and ZX-10 RR. The Gen 7 bodywork does not interchange with 2021 to 2025 machines.
Road Approval
No approval is supplied. The panel is intended for closed-circuit use.
