DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha XSR700 pairs a lively parallel-twin engine with neo-retro styling, and in real life it is often the bike that gets its owner across town every day, parked outside a café or an office in between. Accossato lists its AGPA97 front pad for the XSR700 from 2016 to 2025, and this listing is the Organic (OR) compound. It is intended for city riders and daily users who want a gentle, quiet front brake that feeds in smoothly and helps the front discs last for many seasons.
Key Features
- AGPA97 front pad, Organic (OR) compound
- Listed for the Yamaha XSR700, 2016 to 2025
- Smooth, well-metered bite in city traffic
- Accossato: enduring performance with little disc wear
- Quiet at walking pace
- One box per front caliper
- ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC also made
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's short description of Organic covers two things: consistent performance that lasts, and a disc that wears slowly. For an XSR700 used mostly in town, where stops are frequent but gentle, that combination keeps both pads and discs going for a long time and makes the front brake predictable in everyday use.
Town Riding on a Neo-Retro
An XSR700 in the city is used in short bursts: away from the lights, a brief run, then braking for the next junction. The organic pad makes these stops smooth because its bite grows gradually as the lever is squeezed, so the light front end does not dip sharply. On a winter morning it behaves normally from the very first stop, and in an underground car park it stays quiet. Riders who have just moved up to a mid-size bike often appreciate a front brake that is easy to meter with two fingers.
Other Compounds for AGPA97
If you ride through wet winters or tour two-up, ST is the version made for that. EV1 is for brisk country roads, EV2 and ZXC for the circuit.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA97 for the XSR 700 of 2016 to 2025. The XSR700 has two front calipers, so a complete front change takes two boxes. Accossato's rear pad for the same bike is AGPP88. Change both front sides together, clean the pistons before pressing them back, check the disc thickness and fluid, and pump the lever until it is firm. Bed the new pads in with a series of gentle stops.
Road Approval
We hold no German ABE or test mark for this pad. It is supplied for racing and competition use.
