About this tint
Clear is the screen for every condition that the darker ones cannot handle: night, rain, grey winter days, tunnels, roads through thick forest and the hour after sunset. On an open-face helmet it is also the only glazing in front of the eyes, so its condition decides how well you see.
Shark lists this one simply as CLEAR in the Range Book. It is the natural second visor for anyone who runs one of the iridium or Dark Smoke screens on track and needs something for the road afterwards.
Road or track
Shark classes the clear VZ36015P in the Range Book 2027 as approved for all users (page 39, where Shark spells it approuved). It is the version without any restriction attached, for commuting, touring and night riding alike. The only other road option in the family is TE50, VZ36015PTE50TU, which Shark limits to daytime use.
What this part fits
This visor is for the Shark RS Jet. Shark names it on its compatibility page for RS Jet visors (shark-helmets.com), and that is where our fitment comes from. If in doubt, compare with the number on your old screen: VZ36015P.
Care
A clear screen hides smudges better than a mirror but shows every scratch at night. Wash it with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, give dried insects a minute under a wet cloth, and wipe with a soft, clean cloth. The anti-scratch treatment copes with that kind of gentle cleaning, not with grit dragged across it by a glove. Solvents are off limits.
When to replace it
Time for a new one when headlights at night flare into streaks, when a haze stays after cleaning, when a stone chip or crack sits anywhere in your line of sight, or when the visor no longer locks firmly at the sides or will not hold its position. Any one of those is reason enough on a helmet where this screen is all there is between your eyes and the road.
Fitting it yourself
Open the visor fully, release the lock on each side and lift the old screen off. Place the new one on the four anchoring points and press both sides until they engage, then run it through its full travel. Move your Pinlock over or order VZ36005P, and adjust its tension so the insert sits evenly without a gap. Shipping weight is 186 g, EAN 3664836766737.
