O-ring sizes are given as inner diameter and cross-section, and both have to match — a close size is not a match.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21754-04

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. A leaking damper is not a cosmetic problem: it is a damper that has stopped controlling the wheel. Öhlins recommends replacing seals whenever the unit is opened, not only when it leaks. Seals are the part of a damper that decides whether it holds its gas charge and its oil, and they are the usual reason a unit ends up on the bench.

Genuine Service Part

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Identifying the Right Part

21754-04 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Cross-section is as important as diameter: an O-ring that is too thin will not seal at pressure. Öhlins uses seals with a spring-loaded lip so they follow the shaft as it wears.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21754-04

Category: Seal Heads

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21754-04_140ca634-b0c6-400f-bc95-36c68bb781d2.png?v=1788877756
