A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15472-14

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis.

Genuine Service Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 15472-14 in this case. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it. Hose length is specific to the installation and cannot be substituted freely.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15472-14

Category: Reservoirs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15472-14_1f6b3a27-5f08-42a8-a9fd-9978b6337ae7.png?v=1788878921
