That layer keeps the inner surface above the dew point of your breath, which is why it does not fog when a bare visor does. It is physics rather than a coating, so it does not wear off. \u003cstrong\u003eMaxVision\u003c\/strong\u003e means the lens reaches the edges of the aperture instead of leaving a fogged frame around a small window.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe grade is \u003cstrong\u003e70\u003c\/strong\u003e, meaning roughly seventy per cent light transmission — marginally darker than a bare visor after dark, and the standard specification for this helmet. The DKS code is helmet-specific: DKS520 fits the Strobe II and nothing else in our LS2 range.
