DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Panigale V4 S adds electronically controlled suspension and forged wheels to Ducati's V4 superbike, and it is a version often seen at track days. Those days are rarely spent alone: a partner, a friend or a riding companion often comes along to help, hold the stand, read the lap times and pass the fuel can. With a helper, refuelling can be both quicker and safer, provided both people know who does what. Accossato lists the FC105 for the Panigale V4 S from 2018 to 2024, a quick-release fuel tank cap machined completely from aluminium, with a pawl in six pin colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Ducati Panigale V4 S, 2018 to 2024
- Also listed for the S Corse of 2020
- Entirely CNC-machined aluminium
- Quick-closing pawl for opening and closing the tank quickly
- Pin: blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Pawl sold separately should it be damaged
- No German ABE documented; for closed circuits
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the FC105 from aluminium on CNC machines, entirely, and calls it robust and durable. The design is new. With the quick-closing pawl, the tank of the Panigale V4 S opens and closes quickly, which is what you want when two people are working together at the filler and the next session is coming up. The pin on the pawl is available in six colours, and if the pawl gets damaged, Accossato supplies a new one separately.
Two People, One Fuel Can
Refuelling with a helper works when the roles are clear. One person looks after the bike: switches off, keeps the Panigale V4 S upright on its stands, opens the pawl and watches the level in the filler neck. The other handles the can: carries it closed, opens it away from the bike, pours steadily through the funnel and stops when told to. Agree on a simple hand signal for stop in advance, because helmets and earplugs make shouted words hard to follow. The person at the filler closes the cap and checks it by hand; the person with the can puts the lid back on and returns the can to its place in the shade. Neither smokes, and nobody else crowds round while the fuel is open. Afterwards both glance at the cap once more. It sounds formal for a job that takes a minute, but a routine shared by two people is only reliable when each of them knows exactly where their part ends.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FC105 for the Panigale V4 S from 2018 to 2024, covering the early bikes, the S Corse of 2020 and the entries from 2023 onwards. The same cap is catalogued at Inter-Pace for the Panigale V4, the Panigale V4 R and the Diavel. Before ordering, check your bike against the application list. Fit the cap with the engine cold, make sure the seal sits evenly, and look for dampness at the rim after the first fill.
Road Approval
The FC105 has no German ABE and no documented expert report, so we offer it for circuit use. The Panigale V4 S leaves the factory with a cap that usually locks, and on public roads that original stays in place; this one is no casual substitute.
