It is still a trade and not an upgrade. A finer medium holds back more and passes less, and it fills sooner, so the airbox lid comes off more often. Water and a mild detergent deal with what air will not shift, then rinse until the water runs clean. Dry it in moving air, at a distance from heat guns, radiators and open flame, and refit it only when it is dry through. No oil is applied at any stage.
