DescriptionThe whole story▼

Fitted to the Ducati Panigale V4 R, the JP ACCGP DU040 shortens throttle rotation to sixty degrees and fits a progressive spring with three external preload stages; the only electronic step the installer needs to carry out afterwards is the diagnostic reset that relearns the throttle's position.

Key Features

  • Ducati Panigale V4 R (2023–2024)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

The R Means Homologation

Ducati builds the V4 R as a homologation model, its engine tuned specifically to meet racing class requirements rather than purely for road use, which is why owners of this version tend to treat throttle feel as something worth refining to the same standard as the rest of the bike.

A Reset, Not a Reflash

Once the mechanical throttle is swapped, the electronic control unit still expects the sensor to report positions it already knows about; a diagnostic reset relearns that mapping against the new mechanical travel in a procedure that takes minutes on most diagnostic tools, not a full reflash of the engine's software.

Why the Reset Matters Here

On a homologation engine tuned this tightly, a mismatched throttle position reading can show up as a rougher idle or an inconsistent response at small openings, which is exactly what the reset step is there to prevent before the bike is ridden.

Sixty Degrees on an Already Sharp Bike

Shortening the stroke to sixty degrees reduces how far the wrist has to roll to reach full throttle, a change that is most noticeable on an engine already tuned to respond quickly to whatever the sensor reports.

Three Stages for Three Kinds of Session

The spring's preload moves across three external settings, letting the same throttle feel lighter for a sighting lap and firmer for a qualifying run, all adjusted at the housing without removing it from the bike.

A Part Built for This Housing Alone

The throttle is sized to the V4 R's own housing and sensor layout, so fitting does not involve modifying any surrounding bodywork or switchgear, and the original grip remains available to refit later if the owner chooses.
