DescriptionThe whole story▼

On the Ducati Diavel 1260 S (2019-2023), the JP ACCGP DU020 shortens throttle rotation to sixty degrees and adds a progressive return spring with three external preload settings, giving this higher-specification power cruiser a throttle feel that matches the quality of its other premium components.

Key Features

  • Ducati Diavel 1260 S (2019–2023)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

An S Model Deserves S-Level Details

The 1260 S carries sharper suspension, forged wheels and other upgrades over the standard Diavel, and a short-stroke throttle finished from machined Ergal aluminium sits naturally alongside components already chosen for precision rather than cost.

Preload Set to Match the Mood

Three externally adjustable preload stages let the progressive spring's action be firmed up for a more spirited ride or eased for a relaxed cruise, a change made at the bar in moments without any disassembly.

A V-Twin That Does Not Need Much Rotation

The Testastretta V-twin beneath the Diavel 1260 S delivers torque early and generously, so the stock throttle's full rotation often asks for more wrist movement than the engine actually needs to reach a given point of acceleration.

Milled from a Single Block

Rather than being cast, the throttle body housing is cut from solid 7075 Ergal aluminium on CNC equipment, holding tighter tolerances than casting typically allows, consistent with the finishing standard applied elsewhere on the S variant.

A Routine Relearn, Nothing More

After the unit is bolted in and connected, the standard diagnostic throttle relearn tells the ECU the new position range, the same procedure used on any throttle body replacement and not a specialist tuning job.

Fully Reversible if Needed

The factory throttle body unbolts without being cut or modified, so it remains available to refit later should an owner's plans for the Diavel 1260 S change, whether through a sale or a simple change of mind.
