DescriptionThe whole story▼

The CBR250R was a small single sold to people taking their first steps on a full-size motorcycle, and it is still doing that job second-hand. Small bikes ask a lot of the clutch simply because they are ridden almost entirely at the speeds where it is used.

Key Features

  • Folding blade that swings clear instead of snapping off
  • Engineered break point inside the two-finger zone
  • Phosphated pivot seat, free of play from new
  • CNC-machined from solid aluminium, black anodised
  • Milled Gilles face for a secure gloved grip
  • Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91203

Machined from Billet

Aluminium cut from solid, bored, phosphated at the pivot, anodised black. Free of play. On a bike where the rider is still building coordination, a control that behaves the same every time is worth more than any performance part.

A Single Needs the Clutch

One cylinder means less flywheel effect and less tolerance for a clumsy release. Pulling away smoothly is a clutch skill here in a way it is not on a bigger twin, and the skill develops faster when the lever is within comfortable reach.

Smaller Riders, Smaller Hands

This bike is bought by riders for whom the standard reach is often genuinely too long. Thirty-five positions cover a wide range, and the adjustment takes seconds if the bike is shared.

Road Approval

Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91203, downloadable from this page. No entry in the vehicle documents and no inspection are required.
