DescriptionThe whole story▼
The side stand bracket area on the left of the engine is one of the few places on a motorcycle where a component is designed to be kicked. Ducati covers it, and that cover takes a boot several times a day, every day the bike is used, for as long as it is owned.
Key Features
- Cover for the side stand bracket area, direct replacement for the original
- Four configurations in 200 Plain weave: clear coat, matt, satin and raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate with a harder surface than the moulded original
- Original mounting points and fasteners, stand mechanism untouched
- Raw carbon is the least expensive of the four
Designed to Be Kicked
There is an argument that a carbon part has no business in a place where a boot lands, and it is worth taking seriously. The counter-argument is that the original is soft plastic that scuffs immediately, and a cured laminate does not.
The realistic expectation is a part that looks good for longer, not one that looks new forever. Anybody riding in hard-soled boots will eventually mark it. The question is whether that takes one season or four, and the material makes the difference.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati Streetfighter V4, model years 2023 and 2024, on the original cover mounting points. Earlier and later model years use different parts in this area.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It covers the bracket without altering the stand or its safety switch, but confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
The Only Sensible Finishes
This is a boot contact surface at ground level on the side of the motorcycle that faces the kerb. Clear coat will be marked within a month and will show it clearly, because a scratch through lacquer is pale against dark carbon.
Raw is the correct answer twice over: nothing to scratch through and the lowest price of the four. Matt is the choice for an owner who wants the area to look finished rather than stripped. Satin and gloss belong here only on a motorcycle that lives in a garage and is moved by hand.
