Performance on Track

The progressive linkage geometry on the standard ZX-10 R/RR was engineered for a broad range of road conditions and rider weights. On track, that compromise shows — the suspension loads up unpredictably through corner entry and can feel inconsistent under heavy braking into tight chicanes. Forsaken Motorsport's linear linkage addresses this directly. By flattening the rate curve, the shock works within a narrower, more controllable window throughout the stroke, so the bike responds to rider input rather than reacting to suspension geometry changes. The result is a more neutral, planted feel that builds confidence quickly and allows later, harder braking markers.

Adjustability & Setup

The linear linkage does not force a spring change — the OEM spring remains fully usable. However, riders running stiffer or lighter aftermarket springs will find the linear rate gives them a cleaner baseline to work from when dialling in clicker settings. Valve timing adjustment is recommended to fully exploit the flatter progressive rate; Forsaken Motorsport advises revisiting both compression and rebound damping settings after fitment to maximise the benefit.

Construction & Quality

Every linkage is machined from solid aluminium billet at Forsaken Motorsport's own facility in Canada using a Haas VM3 vertical machining centre. There is no outsourcing and no compromise on tolerances. At 20% stiffer than the OEM unit, the linkage eliminates the micro-flex that can introduce vagueness into the suspension feel, while keeping weight in check through efficient billet construction.

Fitment & Compatibility

This linear linkage is a direct-fit replacement for the Kawasaki ZX-10 R and ZX-10 RR, covering all model years from 2016 through to 2026. It is intended for solo rider use only — pillion or two-up riding is not compatible with this linkage.
