DescriptionThe whole story▼

Riders who take a Kawasaki KLX 250 on trips through changing weather, over mountain passes and along wet back roads need a front brake that stays consistent. Accossato's AGPA76 front pad in Sintered mixture fits the KLX 250 family from 2009 to 2021 and is aimed at dual-sport riders who travel in all seasons, carry some luggage and value dependable bite in the rain.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA76 for the Kawasaki KLX 250, 2009 to 2021
  • Sintered mixture, SKU AGPA76ST
  • Accossato quotes a high, stable grip level
  • Good response in the wet
  • Suits travelling and all-season use
  • Fits the KLX 250, KLX 250 S and KLX 250 SF as listed
  • OR version also offered
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

The Sintered mixture, Accossato says, keeps a high grip level constant from low to high temperatures and grips well when wet. For a KLX 250 on a multi-day trip, this means the front brake feels the same on a cold morning in the hills as on a warm afternoon in the valley. The maker also claims its pads wear slowly, fade less thanks to controlled heat build-up and deliver strong stopping power. The compound is mounted on the AGPA76 plate.

Small Bike, Long Trip

Light dual-sport bikes like the KLX 250 have become popular for adventurous trips on minor roads and gravel tracks. With a small amount of luggage, the bike remains nimble, but the front brake has more work on long descents. In rain, a pad that keeps its grip helps the rider brake confidently before each bend.

Before the trip, check pad depth front and rear, replace dark fluid and consider carrying a spare set of pads. On the road, rinse the calipers after muddy or salty sections and check that the pads are not sticking.

The supermoto-styled KLX 250 SF also benefits from the same consistency on wet tarmac, where its riders tend to brake later and harder than on the trail versions.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA76 is listed by Accossato for the front brake of the Kawasaki KLX 250 from 2009 to 2021, covering the KLX 250 of 2014 to 2018 and the KLX 250 S and KLX 250 SF of 2009 to 2021. AGPP90 is the rear pad. One box equips one caliper.

Road Approval

AGPA76ST has no ABE or German approval certificate in our records. It is offered for competition use.
