Care and cleaning

Dry dust is removed with an air line held to the clean face and worked outwards. Anything greasy needs lukewarm water and a mild detergent instead, then a thorough rinse until the water leaving the material runs clear. Once washed, the element dries in moving air at ambient temperature — never over a radiator, never in front of a hot air gun, never near a flame — and the SM277S F1-85 is refitted while completely dry, with no dressing of any kind applied.
