An End Cap Made Like a Component

The Dyno's end cap is machined from 6000-series aluminium on a five-axis CNC, and Spark treats it as the centrepiece rather than a closure. The perforation through it removes weight; the different radii on its inner and outer faces catch light at different angles, which Spark describes as reflecting sunlight like a real jewel.

Anodising then puts colour into the surface rather than onto it, so the milled geometry stays visible through it. Red is the most assertive of the three finishes Spark offers here — the one that reads as a deliberate accent against the Speed Triple's bodywork rather than as a dark detail.

Spark prints it in capitals for this product and it is not boilerplate: do not use aggressive products for washing — no degreasers, no car shampoo. Wash with water only, and rinse.

The reason is the anodised layer. It is hard and it is thin, and strong alkaline cleaners are exactly what attacks it. A silencer washed with the wrong product does not fail; it goes patchy at the end cap, permanently, and no polishing brings it back. This is a five-second habit that protects the part you paid the premium for.

Keeping the Twin Exit

Triumph gives the Speed Triple 1200 two exits, and this slip-on connects to both original fittings rather than merging them. That is the opposite approach to the Grid-O slip-on, which brings the pair into a single case.

Which is better depends on the motorcycle you want. Twin cases keep the symmetry Triumph designed and give you two milled end caps to look at; the single Grid-O is nearly a kilo lighter and considerably less expensive. Both are Euro5 approved and neither needs a remap.

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and RR, 2021 through 2024. The same slip-on with black anodised caps is GTR0104TOMN and with carbon caps GTR0104TOMC. The single Grid-O slip-on is GTR0105TOM. For MY2025 onwards, Spark's homologated slip-on is GTR0108TOM.
