DescriptionThe whole story▼

The M 1000 RR is made for the track, and on track days the mirrors and licence plate holder usually come off. Gilles' RCK-15-B closes the mounting points that remain, and its photo shows the kit fitted to an M 1000 RR. The black covers protect the open mounts from dirt and moisture.

Type SR99

Gilles lists the M 1000 RR from 2025.

For track days

Mirrors and plate holder are required on public roads, so keep them and refit them before the ride home.

Road Approval

No registration required, says Gilles: the part goes on the BMW M1000RR without an inspection and without a change to the vehicle documents.

Scope of Delivery

The complete RCK-15-B cover kit, black. Store the removed mirrors and plate holder carefully; the bike needs them again for road use.

Fitting

Work on a clean, stable bike and keep the instructions at hand. Mount the part on the prepared surfaces, tighten evenly and make sure nothing rubs, touches or rattles when you turn the handlebar or sit on the bike. Re-check the screws after the first ride; from then on, a glance during routine maintenance is enough.
