DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Hypermotard 950 SP is the version of Ducati's 2019 Hypermotard built with the circuit in mind, and a tight kart track shows why: short straights, hard braking, one turn after another and a rider who is constantly on the move. Feet play a large part in that. They brace, they steer, and they carry the body from one side of the bike to the other. Accossato's FT102 touring footpegs for the Hypermotard 950 SP of 2019 are CNC-machined aluminium, anodised black with a red insert, with a notch that holds the boot.
Key Features
- Touring footpegs for the Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP, 2019
- CNC-machined from aluminium
- Black anodised, with a red insert
- Notch that increases the boot's grip on the peg
- Front and rear footpegs sold separately
- Replace the original footpegs
- No German ABE on record; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Race boots have hard soles with little tread, which makes them precise but slippery on smooth metal. The notch in the FT102 is Accossato's answer: it gives such a sole an edge to push against. The rest of the peg is plain engineering. It is machined from aluminium on CNC equipment, anodised black, and fitted with a red insert that echoes the Ducati colours. Anodising leaves a hard oxide layer on the surface, which copes with the scuffing of boots better than bare aluminium would.
Kart Track Saturday
On a kart circuit the Hypermotard 950 SP rarely goes straight for long. Braking zones are short and hard, so you brace with your knees and the balls of your feet while the bike pitches forward. In the turns you push your weight into the outside peg to settle the bike, and in the tightest hairpins you may put the inside foot out, supermoto style, and bring it back on the exit. Every one of those movements starts or ends at the footpegs. If a boot slips at the wrong moment, you lose the support you were relying on, and the bike moves in a way you did not ask for. With a notched peg the ball of the foot stays put more reliably, even when the sole is dusty from the paddock. Look at the pegs between sessions: rubber from tyres and grit from the track edge can collect in the notch, and a quick brush keeps it working.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FT102 for the Hypermotard 950 SP of 2019. Front and rear footpegs are separate items, and for riding on a circuit the front set is the one that matters. Let a workshop fit the pegs, tighten everything to Ducati's specified values and confirm that the gear lever and rear brake pedal still sit right under your boot, since even a small change in foot position can alter how both controls feel.
Road Approval
No German ABE or Teilegutachten is on record for the FT102. That matches the purpose we sell it for: riding the 950 SP on track.
