DescriptionThe whole story▼
Count the clutch pulls on a CRF250L in half an hour of city riding and the number is faintly absurd. Lights, junctions, queues, a filtering line that stops and starts, the pull away from every one of them: the left hand does more work in a commute than it does in a whole afternoon on an open road. That is the context in which a bent or notchy clutch lever stops being a cosmetic matter. Accossato lists the AGS300 for the CRF250L of 2013 to 2015 and 2017 to 2018, a silver clutch lever in the shape of the original.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's original spare parts types exist for the ordinary case: a control has been broken and the owner wants the bike back as it was. The AGS300 therefore copies the outline Honda gave the CRF250L rather than offering a different one, so the take-up point lands where the fingers expect it and the cockpit keeps its standard appearance. Value for money is the stated aim of the range, and the manufacturer adds that the way these levers are produced leaves them better able to take damage or a fall. The colour listed for the AGS300 is silver, and that is the last technical fact Accossato publishes about it.
The Left Hand in Town Traffic
A commuter learns the clutch of a CRF250L by feel within a week, and any change to that feel is noticed immediately. A lever that sits slightly closer to the grip after a car park shunt makes the hand close further before anything happens; one that sits further out makes a full pull awkward in gloves. Neither makes the bike undrivable, and that is exactly why both get tolerated for months. There is a better answer, and it takes an evening. Fit a straight lever, clean the pivot and give it a thin film of grease, then set the cable free play to the figure in the handbook rather than to whatever feels about right. A cable run with too little play drags the clutch and makes neutral hard to find at a red light; too much and the take-up crowds the end of the travel, which is tiring in traffic. Afterwards, check that the clutch switch does its job, because a CRF250L that refuses to turn over after a lever change has usually just lost that contact. Then ride the bike gently for the first few junctions and let the left hand relearn the take-up point before you rely on it in a moving queue.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS300 as the only original-type clutch lever for the CRF250L, over 2013 to 2015 and 2017 to 2018, so there is nothing to weigh it against on the left-hand side. The same lever is catalogued with us for the Honda CRF250 Rally, which shares its base with this model. On the brake side there are two codes, the AGD280 and the AGD93, and for those the shape of the fitted lever decides. Accossato's CNC levers for the CRF250L are the B8301, the C7301 and the EDF025 for anyone after a tuning part.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE and no test mark for the AGS300 in our hands, as Accossato provided no approval documentation. We list the lever for racing and competition.
