DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Leoncino 800 flatters its rider on a good road. Wide bars, an upright seat and a parallel twin with plenty in the middle mean you carry more speed into a bend than the retro bodywork suggests, and on a Sunday in company that habit hardens into a rhythm of firm, repeated braking. Accossato builds the AGPA112 in its EV1 street/track material for exactly those riders, the ones who press on all morning and still want the bike to bring them home. It covers the front wheel of the Leoncino 800 in 2022 and 2023.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Benelli Leoncino 800 and Leoncino 800 Trail, 2022 and 2023
  • Article number AGPA112EV1: the AGPA112 shape in the EV1 street/track material
  • Accossato names strong grip both on the road and at amateur track events
  • One box, two pads, one caliper's set
  • See how many calipers your front wheel carries before you settle on a quantity
  • The shape is shared with the OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC versions
  • Earlier bikes from 2020 and 2021 take the AGPA177; the rear pad is the AGPA42
  • No German ABE recorded; supplied for track and competition riding

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes EV1 street/track as a material with real grip on the road and at amateur track events, and that double brief is what marks it out within the AGPA112 family. It is not a compound bought for one afternoon and dropped in the paddock bin on the way out. The same set has to behave at the temperature of a cold start outside the house and at the temperature of a long, fast descent taken without pause, which is a harder ask than either condition would be alone. Two pads fill a box, the amount one caliper is given.

A Long Chain of Bends

The roads that suit a Leoncino 800 tend to be the ones with no straights worth the name. A pass road, a coastal cliff route, a forest road that changes direction every few seconds: you brake, turn, open the throttle, and brake again before the pads have had any chance to shed what they took on last time. Heat builds in steps rather than in a single spike, and the thing to watch for is not a dramatic loss of stopping power but a lever that quietly comes closer to the bar than it did an hour ago.

Riders who spend all day on that kind of road learn to manage it without thinking. They let the engine take some of the work on the way down, they vary where they brake instead of hitting the same patch of tarmac every time, and they leave a gap to the bike in front so that they are not reacting to someone else's mistakes with the lever. If the travel does grow, the answer is a coffee stop, not a harder pull. Let everything cool, then look at how much material is left before the last leg home, and remember that a set worked hard for a day will have moved further than a set used for commuting all week.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA112 is listed by Accossato for the front of the Leoncino 800 in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, and the Leoncino 800 Trail of those years is named with it. Nothing older is included: the 2020 and 2021 bike has its own front pad in the AGPA177. Fit a fresh set on both sides of the axle in the same session, and order according to the number of calipers on your front wheel rather than to the number of discs you can see. Behind the bike, the AGPA42 serves the rear from 2020 to 2023, and there is no Accossato disc in the programme for this Benelli.

Road Approval

No documentation of approval has reached us for the AGPA112EV1, and there is no German ABE for it. We sell it for competition and circuit use, and not as equipment for the public road.

Scope of Delivery
