DescriptionThe whole story▼

For a rider who is still learning, pulling away is where most stalls happen. The Street Twin makes it easier than most bikes, because its 900 cc twin pulls from very low revs, and with a well-placed clutch lever it will move off with barely any throttle. The EST333P is Accossato's clutch lever for the Street Twin of 2016 to 2019: CNC-machined from aluminium, fitted at the original clutch mounting and adjustable for reach.

Key Features

  • Clutch lever for the Street Twin from 2016 to 2019
  • Fits the original clutch mounting
  • Adjustable distance to the grip, useful for smaller hands
  • Seven blade colours, black hub
  • Short, standard and long blades; standard approximately 138 mm
  • CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
  • Fixed lever with no hinge

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato machines the EST333P from aluminium and anodises it: black for the hub, which carries the pivot and the adjuster, and a colour of your choice for the blade. The whole lever is fixed, one piece from pivot to tip. A clutch lever with no joint along its length gives the same feel every time, which helps a newer rider build a reliable sense of where the clutch engages. The anodising is formed from the aluminium rather than painted on, so the colour stays even where the fingers rest.

Moving Off at Tickover

A useful exercise for newer riders on the Street Twin is to pull away without touching the throttle at all. On level ground, in first gear, release the clutch very slowly until you feel the engine take up the load and the bike begins to creep; hold the lever there for a moment, then let it out the rest of the way. The twin's low-rev pull does the rest. Practised a few times, this teaches exactly where the bite point is and how gradually the clutch has to be released. Once that is automatic, adding a little throttle becomes easy and stalls become rare. A lever that is set to your hand makes all of this more precise. Adjust the EST333P so that the bite point falls where your fingers are strong and relaxed, not at the very end of their reach. Riders with smaller hands can bring the blade closer; the long version, in blue, gold, green or orange, gives a lighter pull for anyone who finds the effort tiring in town.

Fitment and Compatibility

The EST333P is catalogued by Accossato for the Street Twin from 2016 to 2019, under the name Street 900 Twin, at the original clutch mounting. Its brake-side partner, the EDF014, is listed for the Street Twin from 2016 to 2020, so the two can be ordered in the same colour for bikes up to 2019.

Road Approval

Without documented German ABE, the EST333P is offered as a track part.
