Built exclusively for track use, the Öhlins FKR Cartridge Kit Racing (TTX 25) FKR 108 is a motorsport-grade fork upgrade engineered specifically for the Ducati Panigale 1199 S and 1199 R. As a dedicated racing product, it is not homologated for public road use — every design decision has been made in pursuit of lap-time performance, consistent damping behaviour, and trackside serviceability.

TTX Technology and Closed-System Design

Traditional cartridge systems rely on gas pressure to keep the damping fluid aerated and responsive. Öhlins' TTX approach replaces that gas charge with a preloaded spring inside a sealed cartridge. The result is an architecture that cannot lose pressure through micro-leaks — a failure mode that can degrade conventional systems progressively over a race weekend without the rider ever noticing. With the TTX 25 cartridge, the damping force remains exactly where it was set, lap after lap.

The 8 mm piston rod, combined with the newly developed TTX piston, lowers working pressure throughout the stroke. Lower pressure means the fork responds more quickly to small inputs — the kind of surface irregularities and subtle chassis movements that determine how confidently a rider can carry corner speed. The linear output of the system also makes suspension tuning more predictable: a change in compression or rebound adjustment produces a proportional, readable change in feel rather than the non-linear response that can frustrate setup work with simpler cartridges.

Track Use and Professional Installation

The FKR 108 is a motorsport component. It carries no road-use homologation and must only be used on closed racing circuits. Installation requires dedicated Öhlins special tools and a working knowledge of high-performance fork service procedures. Öhlins strongly recommends that fitting is carried out by an authorised Öhlins service workshop. An installation manual is included in the package to support qualified technicians.
