The nitrogen gas charge eliminates the foam formation that degrades damping oil under repeated compression cycles, keeping the shock's response linear and predictable whether the conditions demand progressive street riding or repeated hard braking into a tight hairpin.
The damper body (35.00 mm RCPU housing diameter, 14.00 mm RCPU rod diameter) is sized to deliver rigidity without unnecessary mass, and the upper and lower mounting eyes are machined to precise tolerances — 32.00 mm width with a 10.00 mm bolt diameter at the top, 41.00 mm width with a 10.00 mm bolt diameter at the lower end — ensuring direct, rattle-free replacement of the factory unit.
On-Road and Track Performance
With a total unit length of 303.50 mm, a length tolerance of -7 mm / +3 mm, a stroke of 53.00 mm, and 11 mm of spring preload adjustment, the RAZOR-R gives the KTM RC 390 rider a genuinely wide setup window. Compression clicks can be wound through all twelve positions to firm up the chassis under braking or soften the ride for extended road touring; the fourteen rebound clicks provide equally granular control over how quickly the shock extends after compression — critical for maintaining rear tyre contact through corner exit.
