Forty-Four Motorcycles
Built to Lewis Hamilton's racing number, in matte black with sparing gold detail, forged wheels and a titanium exhaust. It is the rarest F4 and the one where every decision about modification is weighed against what it does to the machine's standing.
Shaped for the F4
The dedicated housing follows the chassis rather than accommodating MV's range in general. On a bike where the cockpit was designed rather than assembled, a component that fits the geometry properly is worth the specificity.
Reversibility as a Requirement
Mechanical conversion using the original cables, with the standard housing refitting without trace. On a forty-four-example motorcycle, that is not a convenience but the only basis on which a change is considered.
Ridden, Not Only Owned
A proportion of LH44s are used, and the standard throttle travel is long for an engine of this state of tune. A shorter cam addresses that with the smallest possible footprint on the motorcycle.
Machined From Billet
Ergal 7075 cut from solid. The bore in which the throttle tube runs is machined, which is the difference the rider notices at the small openings that decide a corner exit.
Two Names Already
The LH44 carries MV's badge and Hamilton's number. JetPrime supplies this housing without lettering as well as with, and on this particular motorcycle the unmarked version is the easier one to defend.
Forged Wheels and a Titanium Exhaust
The LH44's specification is closer to the RC's than to the standard F4's, which is why the F4-specific housing suits it. Everything about the motorcycle was chosen deliberately, and the cockpit is where that deliberation is most visible from the saddle.
