The Aligned Pattern
Both fasteners on one axis. It is one of two arrangements and the answer lives on the handlebar rather than in the model designation or the year.
Not Backwards Compatible
The 2025 bikes carry different bar hardware from their predecessors. Ordering by model name alone is how people end up with a block that will not mount.
A Clamp That Follows the Bar
Machined to the tube's actual diameter rather than close to it. The result grips evenly and does not mark or oval a handlebar that may well be a lightweight aftermarket item.
What Gets Through a Glove
Very little except the sharpness of the action. Aluminium walls do not absorb it; a moulded shell flexing under thumb pressure quietly does, which is why old blocks feel vague.
Undone and Redone
Fasteners running into cut threads survive being worked repeatedly. On an S whose owner changes bars, levers and grips, that is a practical rather than a theoretical advantage.
The Hours After the Ride
Moisture drawn into a joint as a warm motorcycle cools does more harm than any amount of rain at speed. A body machined from one piece never gives that process a starting point.
Semi-Active, Updated
The current S reads a more capable inertial platform and adjusts damping more finely than its predecessor. On a short chassis the load moves faster than any fixed setting.
Race eCBS on a Naked
Combined braking tuned for circuit use. On a bike with a light rear end it does considerably more than the description suggests it should.
Lighter Everywhere
Frame, swingarm and wheels all contributed to the 2025 weight saving. Ducati found it across the motorcycle rather than in one convenient component.
