Bars Instead of Clip-Ons
The Tuono's wide handlebar changes the rider's leverage and puts the controls further apart. It is the single modification that turns a superbike into something usable on a road, and Aprilia understood that before most.
A Hundred and Twenty-One Newton Metres
The 1077 cc engine's torque is what separates the Tuono from the RSV4 it came from. Peak power fell slightly and the bike became substantially quicker in the situations riders actually encounter.
Offset Mounting
The holes are staggered for the original master cylinder clamp. If a radial unit has been fitted, the universal pattern is the correct part number, and a glance at the bar settles it.
Four Anodised Colours
Black, blue, red and titanium, converted into the surface. On a naked bike the controls are visible from outside as well as from the saddle, which makes the colour choice slightly more consequential.
Nothing Between the Hands and the Air
At motorway speed the rider's hands are pushed back against the bar and reaching for a control becomes deliberate. A switch that moves in its mounting under that pressure is a nuisance every single time.
Sealed Contacts
Military-grade elements inside the milled body. Rain reaches the bar directly on a Tuono and stays there, and the housing is the only thing standing between the water and the electrics.
The Original Plug
Pre-wired for Aprilia's connector, so the swap is mechanical. Nothing is spliced, nothing is extended and nothing needs to be reset once the ignition is turned on.
Long Days, Wide Bars
The Tuono is the V4 people actually ride to places rather than around circuits. That means more hours in the rain, more miles in cold weather and considerably more use of the controls than a superbike will ever see.
