The JP ES 022 is the passive answer to the Scrambler SIXTY2's side stand circuit: nothing powered, nothing configured and nothing that can behave differently in the wet.

A Short Production Run
The Sixty2 never sold in the numbers Ducati hoped and was quietly dropped, which makes parts and information harder to find than for the 800.
Reversible
The standard switch refits with the stand whenever the motorcycle returns to the road, and nothing is consumed in either direction.
A Repair as Often as a Modification
Plenty of these go to owners who have replaced the switch twice and declined to do it a third time. That is a different decision and entirely reasonable.
Nothing to Configure
Unplug, plug in, secure. There is no polarity, no setting and no way to fit it the wrong way round on any model.
A Straight Answer
The controller wants a definite state rather than a measurement, which is why a properly made eliminator works and an improvised bridge frequently does not.
The Cheapest Diagnosis
Clean the switch, check the connector and straighten the bracket before ordering anything. Two of those cost nothing and one of them usually works.
Access
Usually straightforward: the connector sits within reach once the left fairing panel or belly pan is off, and on naked models it is often reachable without removing anything at all. Ten minutes covers most machines.
What Comes Off With the Stand
The stand itself, the bracket that carries it, the spring and the switch with its wiring. On most models that is close to a kilogramme in a place where the mass is genuinely unhelpful, which is the reason racing machines have never carried any of it.
