The JP ACC KT016 gives the Norden 901 Expedition a throttle that arrives at full opening sooner, without changing anything about the fuelling, the modes or the rider aids behind it.

The Long Range Version
Longer travel suspension, heated grips, crash protection and a centre stand as standard. Husqvarna aimed the Expedition at riders who actually leave the country on it.
Where the Wrist Ends Up
At full throttle the standard grip has usually rolled the wrist past comfortable. A shorter sweep leaves it in a position the arm can hold through a corner exit.

The butterflies still reach the same position. The hand simply arrives there sooner, which is the whole of what this component does.

Where a standard assembly asks the hand to travel most of a rotation, this one is done in sixty degrees. The saving is felt at the top of the movement rather than at the bottom.

Riders who run this on one machine tend to find the standard throttle on another feels vague afterwards. It is a preference that travels with the hand.
Sixty Against the Factory Figure
Manufacturers generally choose seventy to ninety degrees, because a generous sweep makes a powerful motorcycle forgiving to somebody not paying attention. Sound for a showroom, poor for a circuit. Sixty is short enough to remove the shuffle and long enough to leave usable resolution.
The Busiest Control
On a fast road or a circuit the right grip is moved more often than any other control on the motorcycle, and usually while the rider is doing something else as well. Reducing the distance it has to travel is a small change made many hundreds of times an hour.
