The JP CJP 012B sits between the Scrambler SIXTY2's loom and its injectors with a map the owner writes, and unplugs to leave the motorcycle entirely standard.

Four Hundred Cubic Centimetres
The Sixty2 uses a smaller version of the air-cooled twin for licence-restricted riders. It needs to be worked harder than its bigger sibling.
Saving and Reloading
Maps are files. They can be backed up, sent to somebody else, restored after a mistake and compared side by side, which is the practical advantage of software over a fixed curve.
Why Not Just Reflash
A remap of the original controller reaches ignition and the rider aids as well, and it is written into the motorcycle. This unit is narrower, reversible and belongs to the owner.
A Surface, Not a Line
A fixed curve corrects along one dimension. A map corrects across two, which is what makes it possible to richen full load without touching the cruise cells.
What It Never Touches
Ignition timing, the rev ceiling, traction control, wheelie control and every riding mode. Fuel quantity is the whole of its authority.
Standard Fuel Hardware
Pump, rail, regulator and injectors all remain the factory's. The unit changes how long they open and nothing about what they are.
Buying Second Hand
The unit transfers between identical motorcycles because nothing in it belongs to one machine. The harness is the part that has to match, not the box.
Approval and the Law
Fuelling forms part of the emissions approval in most European markets. A modified mixture takes the machine outside its approved condition and that is a local question.
Where Owners Give Up
Not at the fitting and not at the software. It is the discipline of repeatable measurement that defeats people, because a map built on inconsistent readings is worse than no map at all.
