The JP ES RSV4 blanks the RSV4 RF's secondary air ports with plates turned from solid aluminium.

What It Replaces
Two reed housings, one per cylinder bank, with the hoses running to them from the airbox. They are what physically admits the air.
Ageing Plastic
These bikes are now old enough that the housings have seen a decade of heat cycles. Reeds crack whether or not the motorcycle has covered any distance.
Soot in the Airbox
The usual first sign of a failed reed, found while looking for something else. By then the residue has been travelling up the hose for a while.
Billet and an O-Ring
A solid plug sealing in a turned groove. There is nothing inside to fail and no service interval attached to it.
Öhlins as Standard
Forks, shock and steering damper, which closed most of the gap between a showroom bike and a prepared one before the owner spent anything.
Both Banks
Capping one head and leaving the other achieves nothing. The kit closes the system properly.
Original Fasteners
Aprilia's own bolt positions and torque figures, with nothing drilled in either head.
Not the Electrical Half
The controller watches the solenoid independently and that circuit needs its own eliminator.
Homologation
The system belongs to the approval and removing it ends road legality in Europe.
Reversible
Both standard housings refit on their own fasteners at any time.
Stored More Than Ridden
A great many RFs covered very little distance in their first years, and their owners are only now discovering what the motorcycle was built for. An engine with that history has fresh internals and perished plastic on the outside, which is exactly the case this part addresses.
