The JP ES 007 answers the secondary air circuit on the Monster 1200 with a fixed resistance, so the controller finds what it expects even though the valve itself has gone.

A Trellis Frame
Ducati kept the tubular structure on the 1200 long after the superbikes abandoned it, because it is what a Monster is supposed to have.
Impedance, Not a Bridge
This unit answers with the value the controller expects. A wire looped across the pins answers with a different wrong value and produces its own code.
A V4 Sounds Different Again
Four closely spaced pulses fill the header continuously, and the crackle sits on top of an already busy note. It is quieter in character and no less present.
Keep the Valve
It refits with its own connector and it is what a dealer will look for. Storing it costs no space and preserves the option entirely.
What Actually Improves
A quieter overrun, no stored fault and one fewer perishable component on a hot cylinder head. That is the complete and honest list.
A Common First Modification
It arrives in the same order as a tail tidy and a set of levers, because all three are inexpensive, reversible and immediately visible in effect.
Storage Under the Bodywork
The eliminator needs to sit somewhere it cannot chafe, which usually means a cable tie to an existing loom run rather than being left loose.
The Airbox Tells You the Truth
While the airbox is open for access, the element is worth a proper look. A clean filter means the reeds are still sealing and the electrical half is genuinely all that is needed. Discolouration or soot means exhaust gas has been travelling the wrong way, and in that case the housing on the cylinder head is a repair rather than an optional extra.
Cold Start Is When It Runs
The system does its work in the first minutes after ignition, when the catalyst is still warming and the mixture is richest. A fault therefore often appears on a cold morning and disappears from the rider's mind by the time the motorcycle is warm, which is exactly why the warning stays on the panel.
