The JP MJ 008 corrects what a homologation map costs the Z900RS at part throttle, which is where almost all road riding actually takes place.

Retro Bodywork, Modern Four
Kawasaki retuned the Z900 engine for low-rev torque and wrapped it in a teardrop tank. The remapping is more than cosmetic.
What a Power Module Actually Does
It sits between the motorcycle's loom and its injectors, reading what the standard controller decides and adjusting the injector opening time before the signal arrives. The original electronics keep their job and their diagnostics; the module only corrects the quantity of fuel that reaches the cylinder.
What Changes at the Bottom
The first eighth of throttle travel is where a lean map shows itself, as a hesitation or a jerk when picking up drive. That transition is where a module earns its money on almost every motorcycle.
Service History Stays Readable
A workshop reads the standard controller and finds the standard controller. That is worth more on a motorcycle that will be sold than most owners realise while they still own it.
Nothing Upstream Notices
The engine controller issues its instruction and the module modifies it afterwards. From the controller's point of view the motorcycle behaves exactly as it always has, which is why nothing is logged.
At Resale
Off in minutes, into a box, and the motorcycle is standard. Or left on and mentioned in the advertisement. Neither choice damages anything.
A Note on Dyno Runs
A power run measures full throttle from low revs to the limiter. That is one line through a map with hundreds of cells, and it is not the line this module was designed to change.
Comparing the Two JetPrime Units
This one arrives finished. The programmable unit arrives empty and expects an owner with software, a laptop and preferably a dyno. Neither is better; they answer different questions.
