The JP MJ 007 sits between the CB1000R's loom and its injectors and adjusts how long each one stays open, which is the whole of what a power module does.

Honda detuned the superbike four for the roadster, moving the power down the rev range and flattening the delivery considerably.
Why the Factory Map Is Cautious
A manufacturer maps one motorcycle for every market, every fuel quality and every altitude it will ever be sold into, then adds a margin for emissions testing. That margin is not a mistake. It is simply not tuned for one bike, one climate and one exhaust system.
The Diagnostic Question
Because the original controller is untouched, its fault memory stays honest. Anybody who has chased a fault on a motorcycle with a flashed controller understands why that matters.
After a Silencer
The standard controller's closed-loop correction covers a narrow band and gives up outside it. A module extends the correction into the part of the map where a freer exhaust actually changes things.
A Narrow Tool, Used Precisely
The module has exactly one lever: how long each injector stays open. Everything the product achieves comes from applying that lever at the right load and the right engine speed, which is knowledge rather than hardware.
The Strongest Case
An older injected engine, an aftermarket silencer and a rider who has noticed the hesitation. That is where the product does exactly what its description says.
If Something Goes Wrong
Unplug it and the motorcycle is standard. That single sentence is worth more during a diagnosis than any amount of documentation, and it is not true of a reflashed controller.
Reading the Engine
A motorcycle that pops on the overrun, hesitates off closed throttle and hunts at a constant speed is telling the rider it is running lean. All three have the same cause.
