DescriptionThe whole story▼
Strip the fairing off a superbike and the front mudguard stops being a detail. On the first two generations of S1000R there is nothing above it, nothing beside it and nothing behind it until the radiator — the guard, the fork legs and the wheel are the entire front of the motorcycle as a bystander sees it.
Key Features
- Front mudguard in the original contour, bolts to the standard fork brackets
- Six versions: 200 Plain, 210H and 245 Twill, in clear coat, matt, raw or twill satin
- Autoclave-cured laminate, stiff across the unsupported span ahead of the tyre
- Original fasteners, no drilling and no spacers
- Covers 2013 to 2020, both the original machine and the 2017 facelift
Six Finishes Is Unusual
Most parts in this range come in two or three versions. This one comes in six, including the 210H weave that Fullsix reserves for a handful of articles and the twill satin that appears on fewer than a hundred of its three thousand part numbers.
That matters here more than it would on a belly pan, because this surface is never hidden. Raw shows the laminate with no lacquer over it and has the deepest texture; twill satin sits between gloss and matt and is the only finish that does not change appearance as the light angle moves.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW S1000R, model years 2013 to 2020, on the original fork brackets. The 2021 machine took a different front end and uses other articles. Fullsix lists the same moulding for the S1000RR of 2009 to 2018 and for the S 1000 XR of 2015 and 2016, which share this fork and bracket layout.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as a replacement body panel and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
What Actually Breaks It
Front mudguards rarely fail from riding. They fail from being leaned against a wall, from a paddock stand slipping, and from the moment a bike goes over in a car park and lands on the fork. A cured carbon laminate survives the first two better than moulded plastic and is no more forgiving of the third.
