Born from over a decade of world championship racing development, the Extreme Components GP EVO Carbon Brake Lever Guard in the limited-edition Union Jack finish is a hand-painted collector's piece as much as it is a precision safety device. Made-to-order and crafted entirely in Italy, every guard is individually painted by hand to ensure a finish that is genuinely unique — no two are identical. If all-day comfort at the bar and a secure, ergonomic grip position matter to you on track, this is the guard built to deliver it.

All-Day Comfort and Ergonomic Confidence
Comfort on a race machine comes from eliminating distraction. The GP EVO's signature V-shape profile allows instantaneous handlebar release in extreme situations, so your hand never fights the guard during aggressive braking or emergency manoeuvres. The edge-free inner surface means there are no pressure points against the palm during extended track sessions, whether you are doing a handful of hot laps or a full endurance stint. The adjustable Teflon spacer lets you dial in the exact distance from your grip to the guard so the geometry works with your hand size and lever reach — a level of personalisation rarely found in a component this light.
Construction and Craftsmanship
Extreme Components produces the GP EVO as a fully monolithic carbon structure — the entire guard, including the tip, is formed from twill-weave carbon fibre with no separate aluminium cap bolted on. At only 35 g this is claimed to be the lightest brake lever guard available, and eliminating the metal cap also removes a potential failure point. The Union Jack edition is a limited run, made strictly to order and hand-painted in the Extreme Components workshop in Italy. The result is a finish that carries the depth and detail of a genuine hand-crafted piece rather than a printed decal.
Aerodynamic Development
The revised front spoiler geometry was shaped in a wind tunnel to manage the airflow that accumulates around the brake lever and throttle side of the handlebar at racing speeds. On full-throttle straights the optimised profile reduces turbulence for both the bike and rider, contributing to cleaner aerodynamic balance precisely when it matters most.
