DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Tuono V4 1100 puts a version of Aprilia's V4 superbike engine into a naked bike with a tall handlebar, and many owners use it for everything from the daily ride to the occasional track day. Getting it onto a rear paddock stand is part of that routine, and it is also one of the classic moments when a bike ends up on its side. The LV012 from Accossato is listed for the Tuono V4 1100 in its RF version of 2018. It mounts on the original brake master cylinder, the reach is adjustable, and the coloured blade hinges from a black base.

Construction and Material Quality
Fitting the LV012 means taking the original lever off its pivot on the Tuono's master cylinder and putting Accossato's lever in its place. What goes on is a two-part lever, CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised. The black base takes over the pivot and holds the adjuster for the reach; the blade, in one of seven colours, is attached to the base by a hinge and can fold. The choice between RST and NRST decides whether the blade has a lightening cut-out or stays solid.
On and Off the Paddock Stand
Lifting a Tuono onto a rear paddock stand alone takes a particular sequence: stand on the left, hold the bike upright with one hand on the bar, place the stand under the swingarm with the other and press down on its handle. If the bike leans too far away from you at that moment, it falls to the right, and the brake lever is often what meets the floor first. The same can happen in reverse when you roll it off the stand on a sloping driveway. With the LV012, the blade is hinged, so it can fold back instead of taking the whole impact at its base. That reduces the chance of a broken lever from a garage mishap, though it cannot rule it out. A helper, or a front stand used together with the rear one, makes the job calmer on a naked bike of this size.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the LV012 for one model year of the Tuono V4 1100: 2018, in the RF version. For the same bike, the RA001 is the version with a remote adjuster. Accossato's fixed EDF099 is listed for the Tuono V4 1100 of 2018 and again for 2021 to 2023. The Tuono V4 1100 Factory and RR have their own listings for the LV012.
Road Approval
No German ABE is recorded for the LV012, so we offer it for track riding.
