DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many ER-6f bikes on the road today have had more than one owner. Kawasaki built the half-faired twin from 2006 to 2016, and a well-kept example is still an easy bike to live with, but the controls often tell the story of its years: a clutch lever scuffed at the tip, bent by a tip-over in a car park, or worn enough at the pivot to feel vague. The Accossato ESK750 is a CNC-machined aluminium replacement for the clutch lever of the ER-6f, listed for every model year from 2006 to 2016, with adjustable reach and a choice of blade colour and length.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the ER-6f, listed from 2006 to 2016
- Replaces the original lever at the stock clutch mounting
- Adjustable reach to the grip
- Available short, standard (approximately 138 mm) or long
- Seven anodised blade colours with a black hub
- CNC-machined from aluminium
- No folding joint in the blade
Construction and Material Quality
The ESK750 is a machined lever. Accossato cuts it from aluminium on CNC equipment and then anodises it, turning the outer skin of the metal into a hard oxide that carries the colour. Scratches can still happen, as on any lever, but there is no paint layer to peel away around them. The black hub contains the pivot and the adjuster, and the blade takes the colour. Like the original part, the ESK750 is rigid, one fixed piece from end to end, so it deserves the same respect in a fall: it has no hinge that would let it swing clear.
Refreshing a Second-Hand ER-6f
Buying a used ER-6f usually means inheriting the previous owner's habits along with the bike. The clutch lever may be bent a few degrees after a slow fall, its tip ground flat on tarmac, or its pivot worn enough to blur the friction point. A lever in that condition does more than look tired. A bent blade changes where the fingers meet it, and a loose pivot makes the take-up hard to judge, which is the last thing a new owner needs while getting to know the bike. Replacing it is one of the simplest ways to make an older ER-6f feel tight and precise again. With the ESK750 you can also set the reach for your own hand rather than the last owner's, and pick a blade colour that suits the bike as it looks today. If your ER-6f is from 2009 or later, fitting the matching brake lever at the same time keeps both sides of the cockpit consistent.
Fitment and Compatibility
The ER-6f appears in Accossato's list for the ESK750 with entries for 2006 to 2008, 2009 to 2011 and 2012 to 2016, which together cover the original bike, the 2009 update and the 2012 redesign. It replaces the stock lever at the original clutch mounting. The EDF044 brake lever is the matching part for the right hand but is listed from 2009 onwards, so owners of a 2006 to 2008 ER-6f will find only the clutch side here.
Road Approval
Please note: a German ABE is not documented for the ESK750, which we therefore offer for track use.
