DescriptionThe whole story▼
The brake lever is the only control on a Panigale 899 the rider touches on every corner entry. Enter the LEVD155H: a 240 g folding brake lever for the Panigale 899, Model H, with LighTech's newest lever geometry. It costs a fraction of the fairing a folding lever saves on a Panigale 899.
Key Features
- The H geometry changes where the blade sits relative to the grip
- Reach adjustment the original Panigale 899 lever does not offer
- Model H is the newest of the three lever models
- Replaces the factory lever directly on the Panigale 899
- Uses the original pivot and perch of the Panigale 899 — no adapter
- Reach adjustment on the blade
What Folding Buys You
Magnesium and aluminium are not chosen for the look of them. Where the original blade transmits a crash into the master cylinder, the LEVD155H folds out of the way. LighTech levers are used by teams in MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and WSBK.
What Is in the Box
What arrives is the blade, the adjuster and the pivot parts. The opposite side is a separate part number.
Fitment
LighTech catalogues the LEVD155H for the Panigale 899 (2012 to 2016). Nothing on the Panigale 899 is drilled; the factory lever comes off and this one goes on.
Fitting
Fitting the LEVD155H does not disturb the hydraulics of the Panigale 899. Set the reach before the first ride, not at the first corner. Nothing on the Panigale 899 is altered permanently.
J, K and H
The H exists because the earlier geometry did not suit every hand. The blade shape differs from the earlier models; the material and the folding mechanism do not. All three models mount to the Panigale 899 the same way; only this detail differs.
What LighTech Declares
According to LighTech, the range meets the requirements of the applicable road regulations. It is a manufacturer declaration; there is no ABE and no Teilegutachten in the LEVD155H box. For a track-only Panigale 899 none of this applies.
