DescriptionThe whole story▼
Autumn rain, a wet mountain pass and a pillion with luggage on the back are exactly the moments this set was chosen for. These Sintered (ST) front pads fit the MV Agusta Brutale 1090 in its RR form from 2010 to 2017 and the Corsa from 2014 to 2016. They are aimed at riders who keep the naked four on the road through every season and want the lever to feel the same whether the tarmac is dry, damp or cold.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) compound for the front calipers of the Brutale 1090 RR and Corsa
- Covers the RR from 2010 to 2017 and the Corsa from 2014 to 2016
- Accossato states it grips well on wet roads
- Consistent lever feel from chilly mornings to hot descents
- Suited to loaded touring with passenger and bags
- Two pads in each box for one caliper
- Also available in EV1, EV2 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Sintered is the mixture Accossato recommends when conditions keep changing. The maker says it holds a high and steady level of grip whether the pad is hot or cold, and that it continues to work well in the wet. Nothing more is claimed and nothing more is needed: the value lies in consistency. Across its range the company aims for pads that wear slowly, resist fade by keeping heat under control and stop the bike firmly, and this compound applies those aims to all-year riding.
Rain, Passes and Full Luggage
A Brutale 1090 RR with a passenger and a tail pack weighs a lot more at the front under hard stops, and a long Alpine descent keeps asking for brake. On such days you want a pad that does not change character after the tenth hairpin. The same goes for a grey October commute when the road never dries. The Sintered set is chosen for that routine: steady bite on the first wet stop, steady bite on the last one. Riders who never switch the bike off for winter tend to settle on this mixture.
Before You Ride Off
Swap the pads on both front calipers at the same session. Push the pistons back only after cleaning them, check disc wear, look at the fluid level, and pump the lever until it is firm. Then bed the pads in with gradual stops on a quiet road.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this AGPA106 pad for the front of the MV Agusta Brutale 1090 RR (2010 to 2017) and the Brutale 1090 Corsa (2014 to 2016). The Brutale 1090 R from 2012 to 2015 uses a different front pad, AGPA96, so check your version first. For the rear of the Brutale 1090 there is AGPA118, and disc DKS020 is also listed for the bike. With two front discs and two calipers, a complete front change takes two boxes.
Road Approval
No inspection report or approval paperwork such as an ABE or test mark is available to us for this product. For that reason it is offered for use on closed circuits and in competition.
Scope of Delivery
Supplied as a pair of pads in one box, the right quantity for one caliper. Retaining parts are not part of the delivery.
