DescriptionThe whole story▼

Most hours on a GasGas MC 450F are spent not at race meetings but on practice days: laps of the local circuit, starts from a borrowed gate, a coach calling out lines from the fence. The AGPA29OR front pad set from Accossato uses the Organic (OR) compound and is listed for the MC 450F from 2021 to 2026. It is meant for riders who pile up practice time and would like the front disc to outlive several sets of pads, since Accossato credits this mix with a long working life and low disc wear.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the GasGas MC 450F, model years 2021 to 2026
  • Organic (OR) compound, article number AGPA29OR
  • Described by Accossato as long-lasting and easy on the disc
  • Suited to training weeks and high lap counts
  • The same pad outline is also offered as ST, STMX and EV1
  • Two pads in the box, one set for the single front caliper
  • No German ABE on record; for competition and closed tracks

Construction and Material Quality

Of the compounds cut to the AGPA29 outline, the organic one is the gentle option. Accossato sums it up in two traits: the pads keep performing for a long time, and the disc they run against loses less material than it would under a harder mix. On a motocross machine that is ridden four days a week, the second point carries weight, because a new front disc costs far more than new pads. The pads follow the shape of the originals and slot in where the worn pair came out.

Practice Laps and the Front Disc

A training day repeats the same few braking points dozens of times. The first turn after the start straight, the berm at the foot of the hill, the tight hairpin ahead of the whoops: every lap asks the front brake for the same work, and over a season those stops run into thousands. Riders who train this much see pad and disc wear more clearly than anyone. An organic pad suits that routine, as it treats the disc kindly and tends to answer smoothly when the brake is still cold at the start of the first session of the morning. If the disc on your MC 450F is already thin, Accossato also lists its DK018 and DK259 discs for the bike.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato catalogues AGPA29 for the MC 450 F built from 2021 to 2026, and the organic set shares its outline with the other compounds of that pad. A motocross bike carries one front caliper, so one box renews the front. For the back wheel, Accossato offers AGPP80 across the same years. Before fitting, clean the caliper pistons and only then push them back, check how much disc thickness is left, and pump the lever until it is firm before the bike comes off the stand.

Road Approval

No German ABE or test certificate has been supplied to us for this set, so we sell it for racing and competition use. On a closed-course motocross machine like the MC 450F, that is where it will be ridden anyway.

Scope of Delivery

One box containing two brake pads in the Organic compound, a full set for the front caliper of the MC 450F.
