DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Honda CB650F is a four-cylinder middleweight naked, and its smooth, free-revving engine makes it good company on a circuit. Bikes like it are often shared: one owner, two riders, and a track day booked for both of them, taking turns from session to session. Accossato lists the FC125 for the CB650F from 2016 to 2018, a quick-release cap whose body is machined entirely from aluminium, closed by a pawl with a pin in the colour you prefer.

Key Features

  • Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Honda CB650F, 2016 to 2018
  • Made entirely of aluminium, CNC-machined
  • Quick-closing pawl for opening and closing without delay
  • Six pin colours to choose from: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
  • Pawl available as a separate spare
  • New design from Accossato
  • No German ABE documented; for closed circuits

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato machines the FC125 on CNC equipment and makes its body wholly of aluminium, which it says gives a robust, durable cap; it also calls the design new. A quick-closing pawl opens the filler of the CB650F and closes it again in moments, and the pin on that pawl comes in six colours, so at least the choice of colour can be made together. If the pawl is ever damaged, Accossato sells a single replacement, and the cap itself carries on.

One Bike, Two Riders

Sharing a bike at a track day is a good way to halve the cost, but it doubles the work the bike does. If two riders take turns, the CB650F goes out in every session instead of every other one, and it comes back hot, with less fuel and warm tyres, just as the next rider is ready to leave. A fixed handover routine keeps both of you safe. The rider coming in switches off and puts the bike on its stand; the rider going out checks the tyre pressures and the chain, and then tops up the tank. Refuel at every handover rather than every second one, so neither rider has to guess how much the other used. After closing the pawl, the rider going out checks the cap by hand, because the last person to touch it should be the one who rides. Agree on lever positions and rear preload in advance, and write the settings down, so nothing changes by accident between sessions.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's entry for the CB 650 F runs from 2016 to 2018; the first CB650F models are not included for this cap. Please confirm your bike's year before ordering. The CBR650F, the CB650R and the CB1100 use the same cap and have their own pages with us.

Road Approval

For the FC125 there is no German ABE and no documented parts certificate, so it is sold for track use. The CB650F's factory cap normally locks with the key, and for public roads that cap goes back on.
