A spherical bearing in the eye lets the damper follow the linkage arc without side load. The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast. Öhlins machines the eye from the same billet as the body on many units.

Why the Original

Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 06626-04. Öhlins states dimension a 73.3 mm, dimension b 22.2 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Thread size and eye diameter identify the part. The eye takes the entire load path from wheel to chassis.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06626-04

Category: End Eyes

Dimension A: 73.3 mm

Dimension B: 22.2 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06626-04_cfe20615-5f01-4240-a197-28a4f4380cab.png?v=1788877925
