A stack combines several diameters so the curve changes progressively rather than in steps.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 00185-11

Original Öhlins service part

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Revalving means changing the stack, not the piston — that is why shims are sold singly. Öhlins grinds shims to a flatness tolerance because the faces have to seal against each other. Two shims of the same thickness but different diameter give completely different curves.

Genuine Service Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 00185-11. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Revalving means changing the stack, not the piston — that is why shims are sold singly. Two shims of the same thickness but different diameter give completely different damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00185-11

Category: Shims

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00185-11_1d142bd6-cf0f-4f76-9db0-a764aef14f75.png?v=1788871303
