A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 04731-01

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins fork parts are specific to the fork model, not interchangeable across the range. Inner tubes carry a low-friction coating; once it is through, the seals wear quickly. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Why the Original

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 04731-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04731-01

Category: Fork Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04731-01_fc324a68-50c2-4e50-9cad-c301f6335aba.png?v=1788872838
