Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Ducati Multistrada 950 (2017–2021) PM127S

Here is a fact worth knowing before you buy a filter for a Multistrada 950: the same element goes into a Panigale 1299. Ducati uses one air filter across a 937 cc touring twin and a 1285 cc superbike, which tells you the part was engineered for the largest engine in the range rather than sized down to the smallest. On the 950 that means genuine headroom instead of a filter working at its limit. The Sprint Filter P08 PM127S replaces the paper element in that standard airbox with a dry polyester medium.

A bike with four jobs

The Multistrada's whole argument is that one motorcycle can commute, tour, carry a pillion and still be entertaining on a good road — and each of those loads the air filter differently. Commuting is slow, even loading. Touring is hours at sustained high flow. A gravel detour is a day's worth of dust in an afternoon. A paper element handles all four the same way: it loads, and once loaded it stays that way until replaced. Twice the filtering surface delays that across every one of the four, and a washable medium reverses it.

What actually changes

Not the dyno chart. What changes is that the intake stays at the pressure drop Ducati designed for instead of climbing through the service interval — so the fuelling stays where it was set and the throttle keeps the response it had when the bike was new, at 40.000 kilometres as well as at 4.000.

Care and cleaning

Blow it through from the clean side with compressed air, working outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry; there is no oiling step.
