Öhlins on a Naked Bike
The Factory specification brings Öhlins suspension front and rear and forged wheels to a motorcycle that was already the sharpest thing in its class. It is the version bought by riders who intend to use the chassis rather than only the engine.
A Hundred and Seventy-Five Horsepower
In a naked bike weighing around 209 kilograms wet. The Tuono Factory has held its position at the top of the hyper-naked class through several generations of rivals, largely because the V4 remains unmatched in character.
Everything Adjustable
Aprilia's chassis allows the headstock angle, the engine position and the swingarm pivot to be moved. On a Factory with Öhlins at both ends, that adjustability is genuinely used rather than being a specification-sheet feature.
The Combined Assembly
Right-hand controls inside the throttle housing, as on every V4 of this generation. Both are replaced together by this unit, machined from one billet and using Aprilia's own connector.
Where a Casting Loses Out
The standard component is cast with a clipped cover, and the bore in which the throttle tube runs is formed rather than cut. Over years that difference shows in how consistently the sensor reads small openings.
Four Finishes
Black, red, blue and titanium, all anodised through the surface. Titanium sits closest to the Factory's gold fork tops without attempting to match them, which is generally more successful than red on this bike.
Sealed Contacts
Sealed elements inside a one-piece machined body. A naked motorcycle gives its switchgear no shelter at all, so the housing and its seals do the entire job.
