The F4 is Massimo Tamburini's design and one of the most admired motorcycles ever built. The JP ACS 060 replaces its throttle housing with a machined Ergal unit.

A Motorcycle in a Museum
The Guggenheim exhibited an F4 as an example of industrial design, which is not a sentence that applies to many production vehicles. Tamburini drew it after the Ducati 916 and it has aged better than almost anything from the period.
Four Cylinders, Radial Valves
The F4 engine uses radial valve arrangement developed with Ferrari's involvement, and it revs beyond thirteen thousand. It is complicated, expensive to maintain and produces a noise that owners cite as a primary reason for tolerating both.
The Cockpit Is Part of the Design
Everything visible on an F4 was drawn rather than merely specified: the mirrors, the clocks, the single-sided swingarm. The cast throttle housing with its moulded cover is one of the few components that reads as ordinary from the saddle.
A Shorter Cam
The standard action is long. On an engine that makes its power high and rewards being kept there, reducing the wrist rotation between closed and fully open is a change that riders notice within a corner.
Cables Only
Mechanical throttle throughout, so the conversion uses the original cables and touches nothing electrical. It reverses completely, which on a motorcycle valued for its originality is the important part.
Plain Flank
No lettering. On a Tamburini design, adding a second brand's logo to the cockpit is a decision most owners decline, and JetPrime offers this version for exactly that reason.
Radial Valves and a Ferrari Connection
The F4's cylinder head arranges its valves radially, an idea developed during the period when Cagiva's relationships reached into Ferrari's engineering. It is complicated and expensive and it produces a noise owners consider sufficient justification for both.
