Everything Is on the Left
Indicators, horn, beam, cruise control, heated grips and the navigation of a colour display carrying riding modes, ABS settings and traction levels. KTM concentrated an enormous amount of function into one housing on this generation.
Modes Used on Changing Surfaces
An adventure bike crosses from motorway to gravel to broken tarmac within a single day, and the rider changes settings as it does. That is a different pattern from a sports bike, where the mode is generally selected once and left.
The High Tank Generation
Fuel above the engine rather than wrapped around it, which makes this Super Adventure feel taller than the 2021 bike. It is a very capable motorcycle and KTM's subsequent redesign addressed exactly that characteristic.
Cold Hands, Thick Gloves
These machines are ridden year-round by people who use them properly. Winter gloves remove almost all tactile resolution, and what survives is the physical step between one control and the next.
Sealed Against Grit and Rain
Dust works into a moulded joint and remains there; water at least drains eventually. Sealed elements inside a one-piece milled body exclude both, which matters on a bike hosed down after every trail section.
It Falls Over Sometimes
Even the road-biased versions go down at walking pace on a loose verge. The bar end lands first and a milled body deforms where a clipped moulded shell splits and stops holding the switch securely.
Black Anodised
One finish, converted into the surface. On a handlebar already carrying guards, a navigation cradle and auxiliary switches, black adds nothing to the visual clutter.
