The JP ES 011 keeps the Panigale 1299 running in gear once the stand has come off, and does it through Ducati's own connector rather than a bridged plug.

The Engine as a Structure
Ducati bolted the frame elements directly to the engine, with no conventional chassis at all. It was a considerable engineering statement and it worked.
Or Simply Bent
On a loaded motorcycle it happens, and a replacement is not always to hand. Removing the assembly is sometimes the practical answer.
Not the Clutch Switch
Ducati reads the clutch lever separately, and a bike that will not start in gear may be reporting either. Establishing which saves ordering the wrong part.
Where the Lead Runs
Forward along the frame from the stand bracket to a connector under the bodywork. Nothing in this conversion touches that run.
Fitted First, Always
Until the engine runs with a gear engaged nothing else on the preparation list can be verified. It is the job that unlocks the evening.
Torque on the Bracket
The stand bolts carry real load and Ducati specifies a figure. Noting it before the parts go in a box is worth the ten seconds.
Access
Usually straightforward: the connector sits within reach once the left fairing panel or belly pan is off, and on naked models it is often reachable without removing anything at all. Ten minutes covers most machines.
Refitting for an Inspection
The stand, the bracket and the switch go back on their own fasteners, and nothing needs replacing to do it. Where a periodic test covers the interlock, that is an evening rather than a problem, provided the parts were kept together in the first place.
