Built Because It Could Be
Kawasaki had the supercharger and the engineering, and built a naked bike around it largely to demonstrate the point. Very few manufacturers do that any more.
Nothing Else Like It
There is no other supercharged production motorcycle at any price, let alone a naked one. The Z H2 has the category entirely to itself.
Both Halves in One Box
The electrical eliminator that satisfies the controller and the cover that closes the cylinder head. Neither one is a deletion on its own and the kit removes the temptation to do only half.
Half a Job Is Worse
Cover the head with the circuit live and the panel complains. Silence the circuit with the head open and a cracked reed still passes gas towards the filter.
A Sensible Sequence
Mechanical first, electrical last. Plugging the eliminator in before the cover is fitted simply means testing twice for no reason.
What Finishing It Means
No open port in the cylinder head, no perishable reed assembly on a hot casting, no hose above the engine and no fault code on the display. Anything less leaves something behind.
Cheaper Than Buying Apart
The kit costs less than the two components separately, before counting the second evening it saves.
A Job for Somebody Patient
Nothing here is difficult and everything is fiddly. Rushing the hose routing or the tank refit is how a clean conversion produces a fuel smell.
Emissions on a Supercharged Engine
Kawasaki had to certify forced induction against the same standards as everything else, which required a comprehensive hardware package. The Z H2 carries more of it than its output alone would suggest.
